Thankyou to our generous community who raised funds through a collection for NVCT and CWAS.

Our Autumn Film Theme is : “The Near Departed”.
A celebration of films starring Robert Redford, Terence Stamp, Claudia Cardinale and Diane Keaton.
Tuesday 18th November 2025 - 7.00pm Celebrating Terence Stamp. John Schlesinger’s classic 1967 film, with Julie Christie, Peter Finch and Alan Bates. Thomas Hardy has never looked so good on a big screen, thanks to Nicholas Roeg, who was behind the lens.
Tuesday 2nd December 2025 - 7.00pm Celebrating Robert Redford. George Roy Hill’s 1969 remarkable depiction of “The Hole in the Wall” gang in 1899. They robbed banks and jumped off cliffs.
Often forgotten, Katherine Ross also puts in a great performance.
Tuesday 16th December 2025 - 7.00pm Celebrating Claudia Cardinale. The first film in this franchise was made in 1963 by Blake Edwards. Cardinale, who had won “The most beautiful Italian girl in Tunisia” competition, became a star in Italy before she appeared in this film. “Da dum, da Dum……”
Tuesday 13th January 2026 - 7.00pm. Celebrating Diane Keaton. Is it the funniest film ever made? Some people think so (quite a lot, actually). Keaton’s career (she was in "The Godfather") really took off with this 1977 Woody Allen vehicle. Start the New Year on a positive and happy note…….
