Without a pub or local shop there are limited opportunities to meet and get to know our neighbours. We aim to support social connectivity in Newstead. 

NVCT have facilitated a range of social events to provide entertainment and education, promote social cohesion and wellbeing and simply to enable neighbours to meet and get to know one another informally.

To date we have organised;

Community Picnics on the Green

Annual Fundraising Walks

Jubilee Celebration Event

Nature-themed community events such as launch of the Village Green Bio-blitz, Hedgehog Information session, Bat and Moth Nights.

Established the Triple Peaks Community Cinema

Annual Carol Singing
