COMING IN 2025!
We are currently in the process of planning Newstead Sundials Festival to take place on the afternoon of Sunday September 7th 2025.
This will be half day event to celebrate Newstead's unique heritage and history and it's links to the River Tweed.
Centred around the Village Green the Festival will be an interesting, fun, creative event including, music, workshops, displays, storytelling and refreshments.
It will be an opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate all the things we love about our Village and its surroundings. There will be opportunities to participate in workshops leading up to the Festival.

A TASTER OF SOME OF THE PROPOSED EVENTS/ATTRACTIONS
Stone carving workshops in the weeks leading up to the Festival which will contribute to a legacy installation on the Village Green.
Launch of the Stonemason's Trail - a guided walk led by The Tweed Valley Blogger on the day of the Festival and production of a map for a self-guided tour going forwards.

Thankyou to everyone who attended the meeting in the Village Hall today, 16th Feb, to find out more about the Newstead Sundials Festival proposal, to share ideas, ask questions and to volunteer!
It was great to see so many people there and it was really useful to hear comments and ideas which we will take on board to ensure the event is a success for everyone.
